* Air-foam Flotation- Functional areas of the cushion are created by 3 types of foam; soft foam for the decubitus-sensitive area of the IT’s; medium foam for the thigh trough, pelvic bucketing and pre-ischial bar; and firm foam for the perimeter and medial thigh separator.
* A valve releases air to immerse the user in the foam, the foam conforms to the user, and the user’s weight is distributed over the surface of the cushion.
* Positioning supports- Medial and lateral supports minimize internal and external lower extremity rotation.
* Pelvic bucketing and a pre-ischial ridge helps to maintain pelvic position, and the thigh troughs promote a neutral femoral position.
* Valve- PSV (pressure setting valve) which can be pre-set at a certain position. When the user or caregiver opens the valve, the PSV senses that the desired level of immersion has been reached, and it stops releasing air. The user then closes the valve.
* Cover- Available with either a mesh or incontinence cover, made from breathable 4- way stretch material.
* Covers are machine washable.
* Two year warranty except on cover.
