* The cushion of choice for wheelchair users with a high risk of tissue breakdown and difficult, often asymmetrical, positioning needs.
* It is ideal for individuals with leg length discrepancies, obliquities and amputations, due to the ease of modification.
* The cushion consists of a modifiable contoured base, air-foam flotation cushion, Varilite Diamond air pockets, cover and wedge.
* Contoured Base – Closed cell foam base that does not absorb water and is resistant to bacteria. The base can be cut with a knife or blade to accommodate drop-base seats and leg-length discrepancies. High laterals and a deep ischial pan provide maximum immersion and pressure distribution. Molded thigh troughs improve lower extremity positioning. A hinge lets the base flex when a wedge is placed underneath it for increased anti-thrust.
* Air-foam flotation – A two way valve releases air to immerse the user in the foam, the foam conforms to the user, and the user’s weight is distributed over the surface of the cushion. The dual cushion system consists of two air-foam cushions which can be adjusted individually for pelvic obliquities and other asymmetrical conditions.
* Varilite Diamonds – Designed to stretch and contour over the medial thigh abductor and anterior laterals for added stability. Diamonds are a series of individually sealed foam and air pockets that can be cut to match the changes made to the closed cell base.
* Cover – Available with a mesh ( 11 ) or incontinence ( 21 ) cover with breathable four-way stretch material.
* Wedge – A modifiable closed cell foam wedge is standard with each Pro-Form. The wedge reduces the seat-to-back angle, which increases the weight-bearing load on the back of the thighs and decreases the load on the buttocks. The 2 inch (5cm) tapered wedge trims easily for custom fitting.
* Covers are machine washable.
* Two year warranty except on cover.
