Edmond Wheelchair Repair and Supply

While there are some good sites that have reviews of wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs, most are biased towards the high performance powerchairs, I felt it was time someone did the same for the average chair and mobility scooter user.

I will stay mostly with the models that Medicare covers most often, but since people now have the option to pay the difference on a higher priced chair I will review some of them occasionally.

These reviews are based totally on our experience with a chair and our repair history of that model, if any. I will make every attempt to write the reviews in plain English or with an explanation.

Each model will be rated for reliability, ease of use, how well it fits it designed use, and parts availability. If a model is new, there will not be a reliability rating so customer service from the manufacturer will rated in its place.

RATING SYSTEM

One of the best in its class.
A good quality chair. Well worth the money.
Average quality.
Below average, we do not recommend this model.
No Star, Headache on wheels.

I will post a review whenever we have a model in stock and I get a chance to really test out the chair. Reviews will be updated as changes are made to the chair. 

Reviews will be removed if a model is discontinued.

NOTICE:  If a manufacturer would like us to review a chair or scooter model they must be shipped to us free of charge and with no strings attached.

We will post a fair, honest review, both the good and bad points as we see them. Any attempts to influence a review will be posted with the review.

Any chairs or scooters sent for review will not be returned, if they are still in good shape they will donated to charity and a donation receipt for tax purposes will be returned to the manufacturer. That the chair was donated in the manufacturers name will also be posted in the review along with any reasonable comments the manufacturer wishes to make about the chair. 

While we have had only one manufacturer brave enough to send us equipment to test, we have had some accuse us of being biased in our reviews because we only review the equipment we handle. We can not write a review if we do not get to test it, so if you want your product reviewed, contact us. You will be treated as fairly as the companies we handle and if your product is good enough, we will look into adding it to the products we offer.

SPECIAL NOTE: I have received word from a major company that repairs and rebuilds power wheelchair motors that Quickie has solved the motor problems they were having on some models. This is great news for those of us that like Quickie products.
